Abstract:In order to ensure that the wind turbines can normally operate under the low voltage ride through fault of the grid, a Chopper device is necessary to access to the wind power converter DC bus for transient energy control. A method of using the existing power test platform and software to simulate the low voltage ride through fault of the grid is proposed to test the electrical performance of the Chopper device. The test method has a good application prospect because of its economy and practicality. The experimental results verify the feasibility of the proposed method.
