Abstract：With the development of intelligent substation, the environmental adaptability and operation and maintenance convenience of the equipment are becoming more and more demanding. This paper presents a miniaturized configuration free automatic local module which realizes the conversion and transmission of the primary equipment information (analog quantity and switching quantity) of the substation, and is installed in the primary equipment mechanism box or local equipment compartment. This paper introduces the hardware and software design of the local module in detail, and expounds that the local module has the remarkable characteristics of high protection, miniaturization, free of configuration, high reliability and low power consumption. Test results and project implementation show that the local module has good application and promotion value.
