Abstract：This paper proposes the method for fault detection of capacitor voltage transformer (CVT) using the way of voltage measurement values relative comparison. This method makes use of the real-time monitoring system of the network, it can find the internal capacitor breakdown faults of capacitor voltage transformer timely and effectively, which is convenient for operating personnel to take corresponding measures as soon as possible.
