Abstract:Nowadays smart substations are confronted with problems such as the large number of devices, large number of stages of data transmission, operation and maintenance. Then the implementation scheme of the solution is presented. The smart substation integration is divided into vertical integration and horizontal integration. Solution is proposed for the key hardware and software technology used to achieve integrated protection. Taking the 220kV substation as an example, the engineering implementation scheme is analyzed. Besides, the scheme of a single grid with two integrated protection devices is proposed, which can solve the maintenance problem of centralized protection, the wide-ranging effect and the long power outage time during the period of the centralized protection fault or maintenance. Engineering practice results demonstrate that these integration methods can enhance the selectivity, sensitivity, rapidity and reliability of relay protection; can also realize the intelligentization of onsite primary equipment and reduce the construction cost of substations.
