Fault analysis on low oil pressure opening and closing locking of 500kV hydraulic spring mechanism circuit breaker

In view of a fault of low oil pressure opening and closing locking of 500kV hydraulic spring mechanism circuit breaker in an extra-high voltage (UHV) substation, by analyzing this abnormal condition in detail, it is determined that the internal fault of the mechanism leads to the decrease of oil pressure. By analyzing chemical composition of metal foreign body and comparing the metal materials of parts and components in the mechanism, the source of metal foreign body is found. The common faults of hydraulic spring mechanism and their treatment methods are put forward to provide preference for on-site fault treatment.
