Abstract:With the increasing of the capacity in the new energy sources field, the expansion of the scale of power grid, the structure of power system becomes more and more complex. The stability of power system plays an increasingly significant role. The basic principle of SVG device is introduced firstly; Then, the important auxiliary service function to the power system is expounded from the aspects of enhancing stability and adjustment of system, improving the operation safety, raising reliability and efficiency. Finally, the effectiveness of voltage supporting and improving the stability of power system in the wind farms are verified by field experiments.
